Summer Sound View #1

Where is summer sound view #1? I look forward to sharing! But first, here’s a bit about me. And, if you are seeking weekly, colorful paintings in your world (and why not, right?), you can sign up here.

Onward to take a look at this week’s painting.

The Back Story

Earlier this summer, I shared that we spent some time on the sound side of Topsail Island. During that stay I had a blast painting on the deck facing the sound.

So, this week’s painting is one of a series of eight small paintings. Each brings back wonderful summertime memories of the sky and sea. And, I’m excited to share each is framed and ready to be on view soon. But first, here’s this week’s painting. It’s 7×5 inches and painted in oils on panel.

Where Can You See It

This painting and seven more are framed and ready for a sneak peak event at a gallery in downtown Raleigh that is getting a brand new look. So, on Friday, August 7 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, visit Gallery 20 located at 20 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh, NC for a sneak peak.

Here’s a list of all the wonderful painters, potters, sculptors and weavers, who will also have work on view.

What’s New With You

How are you faring, gentle reader? Do you have some memories from this summer that you cherish, too? If so, please share in the comments below. I would love to hear from you.
