Sneak Peak at Gallery 20

What does sneak peak at Gallery 20 mean? Stay tuned gentle reader. I can’t wait to share! But first, here’s a bit about me. And, if you are seeking weekly, colorful paintings in your world (and why not, right?), you can sign up here.

Onward to take a look at this week’s painting and the sneak peak at Gallery 20.

First – Here’s this Week’s Painting

This is an acrylic painting on paper. I painted it in late May/early June during our NC sound side adventure. It’s all “dressed up” in a lovely white mat and framed in a natural wood frame.

It’s four inches wide and six inches tall. Here’s another photo in its frame. I love how it looks!

But what gives with the sneak peak part? Okay here’s the deal! Gallery 20 located at 20 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh NC 27603 has been going through a major “spiff up” over the past few months.

Explain Sneak Peak at Gallery 20

OK here goes gentle reader! The gallery is located in an old building called the Carter Building with addresses spanning 14-22 Glenwood Avenue. The gallery, as I note previously, is located at 20 Glenwood Avenue.

So the sneak peak is this Friday from 5PM to 8PM. If you visit, you will see fantastic artwork by 14 artists in this first floor gallery space. What you won’t see (yet) are regular hours to visit the gallery (unless you know someone with a key ;-D). Regular hours start in September. Hence this weekend’s sneak peak.

NOTE: if you live in Raleigh and would like to see this exhibit but can’t make it Friday night, get in touch with me here. I may be able to meet you at the gallery! Just be sure to contact me soon, ok?

As for “spiff up,” you can bet this old building has character and a few quirks. But both the gallery owner and curator have been painting and cleaning and prepping this space. When you visit Friday, you will still see some wonderful charm and character but mostly the space has been “spiffed up” to help us all focus on the art work on view. Wahoo!

I am excited to share that I will have eight paintings on view; each are framed and priced at $100. So please plan to visit and say “hello!” I’ll be there and look forward to seeing you.

All the Gallery 20 Artists

Before I sign off, here are all the Gallery 20 artists who will have work on view this Friday night.

Word is, you will be delighted by the caliber of work. And, remember there are so many reasons why looking at original art is good for you. Yes there will be refreshments too!

How Are You

What’s happening in your world? Are you starting to wind down summer activities and shift into fall? Heck no? Me neither! But, whatever your August adventures offer you, please do share in the comments here. Especially if you think you might be able to pop by the gallery on Friday night. But, either way, I look forward to hearing from you!

This painting has so many lush colors – the purple, the red … oh lala! Fun size and such a reasonable price. Again wish I could see it in person!
