The Setting

Where is Sand Beach? It’s anywhere and everywhere you might know. Meaning? Meaning we all have our favorite get away places, right?

Here’s to your favorite getaway place! And, just in case you need to know where this place actually is. Here’s the ga-gorgeous set up for it.

OK we are camping in Stonington, Maine right now. And there really is a Sand Beach here. It’s a small magical cove with a sandy beach, woods, trails and rocks.

Here it is!

New Artist Introductions

While I was painting at Sand Beach I was so lucky to meet two new artists. One was a delightful middle school girl who already is sketching wonderful sketches of trees and imaginary dragons!

The other was a friendly accomplished young abstract artist named Brennen Steines. While he focuses on abstract oil painting, his pen and ink painting of the rocky Maine coast was exquisite. And he and the young artist chatted at length about drawing dragons and more. Here’s Brennen’s Instagram account showing his beautiful paintings. Give him a follow if his work interests you. I am!
