Look Up

Why should we look up? Oh I can’t wait to share. But, before reading on, if you want more information about me, check here.

And, if you are seeking weekly, colorful paintings in your inbox (yay!), sign up here. On to this week’s painting.

Why Look Up

If you are lucky enough to live near trees, as we are, there are always sights to see. Looking up at this pine tree near our house invites a chance to see the sun on the tree trunk and tips of this pine. As I painted this I also saw jet streams and clouds go by. These fleeting moments make me so grateful for this painterly life I lead.

Here’s this week’s painting which is really a quick, color sketch of several painting ideas I have percolating in my head. Stay tuned!

Last weekend, David and I drove to Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, VA so I could hang my paintings there. Here’s a photo after we had finished. Yay!

Art Giveaway and Opening

If you or someone you know live or will be in Richmond, VA on Friday, March 20th, I would love to see you at the Art Opening at Crossroads Art Center.

If you notice in the image above, there are several paintings stacked one over the other. These are sa-weet 6×6 framed paintings that I’ll be offering as an art giveaway during the Crossroads Art Opening. All you need to do is fill out one of the slips with your name and contact info and I’ll be doing a drawing at 6:30 and 7:00PM during the opening. Here’s a fun video with the details.

And, here’s a poster with all the details about the drawing too.

Mark your calendar for Friday, March 20 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Crossroads Art Center 2016 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA 23230. I look forward to seeing you there!
