Maine Adventures Continue
Yay the Maine adventures continue! What does that mean? I can’t wait to share. But first, if you are new here and seeking weekly, colorful paintings in your world (and why not, right?), you can sign up here.
Onward to take a look at this week’s painting.
The Beautiful Setting
First I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the beautiful setting for this week’s painting! Thanks to my kid sis, Beth Dyer Clary, we are lucky to stay at her (and her hubster’s) dear pals place on the coast of Maine for the past several years. It is a gorgeous seaside setting and perhaps the best-est front porch view in Maine, if not America.
Here’s a photo of my painting in process on Chip and Molly’s front porch facing the Atlantic Ocean. Pinch me!

Another Beautiful Confession
I confess, dear reader, that I have splurged, big time, on some beautiful panels. Wot? You might ask? For this trip I treated myself to some fantastic Artefex panels. To paint on these panels is a painter’s paradise. Meaning? Meaning each brush stroke feels heavenly. The support (underneath the beautifully primed linen) is aluminum composite material. It’s lightweight and therefore a wonderful way to travel with paints without carrying a heavy load.
This painting is a small study in gouache: my preferred travel medium. And, it’s just 5 inches by 7 inches. It’s gallery wrapped meaning it “sits” on a one inch edge; so, no frame required ‘though you can frame if you want. I will be showing these paintings soon. Stay tuned on that.
Here It Is
Here’s this week’s painting! Enjoy and stay tuned for more updates from the road and upcoming art openings soon.

What’s Happening Where You Are
Because we are wayyyy up the coast of Maine, we are lucky to be feeling hints of cooler weather. Such a beautiful, breezey relief from summer, southern heat! What about you? Are you noticing any signs of the end of summer and the move to cooler fall air? I sure hope so! Please share what the air and views are like in your world. I look forward to hearing from you.

Gorgeous painting. I am jealous of your Maine sojourn ❣️
What a serene painting. Calms me down just looking at it. And that was a great respite at the Campbells coastal compound!
