Your Color Connector

Greetings from your Color Connector. Who’s that? Well, me. If you need to have more information about me, check here.

And, if you think you would like weekly colorful connections in your inbox (yay!), sign up here. Onward to the color connection news!

Serenity and Strength

I’m excited to share that this colorful, and moody, seascape entitled “Serenity and Strength” will be on view this weekend. It’s 2×6 inches, painted in oils on Arches oil paper, matted in an 11×14 mat and sealed in a Krystal Seal Envelope. Here’s your online view:

Stop by the Forest Park Art Walk and enter your name and email for a drawing to win this colorful work of art. I loved painting this from my imagination earlier this fall. A painting like this helps me stop, even if for a minute, and appreciate being alive!

Come and See Color

Whether you love looking at art (yes, it is good for you!), or are getting an early start holiday shopping or think there’s a place in your home or apartment that needs a dash of color, come and see color. Here are the details:

Forest Park Art Walk aka Home Studio Sale

In addition to my work, you can also see beautiful paintings by local fabulous color creators Julia Einstein, Dawn Rozzo and Jean Grunewald. And, heads up! We will have lots and lots of medium to small paintings on view.

But, if you have your sights on larger work, each artist (is friendly) and can share contact info with you. Large or small, we would love to help you make a color connection that works for you! Most of all, we would love it if you stopped by to say ‘hi!’ And, yes, there will be brownies.

  1. Love this painting, Julie! You captured the range of contrasting colors in this seascape so well – from the deep violet/blues in the water to the iridescent green of the wave’s crest; not to mention the sun’s peachy strip against the cloudy sky. A feast for the eyes!
Very excited for you, too, regarding the Forest Park Art Walk! I’m sure it will be a smash! xoxo

  2. Beautiful painting! I love that bit of orange in the right corner, and also find the painting inspiring of gratitude!

  3. A dream of a seascape to me! Wish I was on the circuit and could enter my name! There is so much color and wave texture in that comes to me with staring at it. I particularly appreciate art that draws me in the way this does.

All shades of purple are my favorite!

    1. Hi Beth, Thank youuuu and I wish you lived nearby toooooo. Noting your purple preference and can’t believe I never knew that! xoxo

  4. Hi Julie- can I enter my name for this painting? I’d be there if I could—-
Perhaps it’s the darker colors that draw me into the painting? Or maybe my love for the ocean and its many moods? Then there’s the bright green wave crest- so many things to appreciate about this painting.
Good luck this weekend! You’ve worked hard to make this inviting and successful.

    1. Hi Kathyyyy – Oh you cheekie sister ;-D I wish I could but gotta keep this local and in real life. TY for all the good artistic words and wishes! xoxo
