This Week’s Painting

We found this faded, beautiful lobster claw on a beach walk earlier this summer. I have sketched it, pondered how to best paint it, even looked up lobster info.

Among many fascinating facts, I learned that lobster’s “limbs” can regenerate (slowly). Oh my what a beautiful metaphor for today’s time. Even though I realize we first have to navigate our way through the current mess we (in the US) are in. I am inspired to think that regeneration is in our future. You can see glimpses of that in the faded red and white stripes of the painting around the lobster claw.

Since this is a study (painted on a top of another painting) I am selling it for $100. Just contact me here if you’re interested.

What’s Happening Where You Are

How are you doing gentle reader? Are you seeing unexpected signs of regeneration in your world? If so, I would love to hear from you. Please share in the comments below.

  1. Lovely painting of the lobster claw! You captured its shape so well. Man, I wish I could regenerate parts of myself! That would be fantastic. Unfortunately, not much regeneration going on in my part of the world. xoxo

    1. Thank you Alexandra! Ha – wow – know what ya mean…cue up Bette Davis and her mantra “getting old ain’t for sissies” eh? Take care you xoxo
